Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson may be unattached at the moment, but he definitely believes in love at first sight.
“It’s absolutely possible that you can meet someone on the street and suddenly fall in love with that person,” says Rob, 22. “That often happens to me,” he laughs.
The 6’1″ British hunk, who recently said he thinks girls prefer bad boys over nice guys, insists he is always a gentleman. “Even when I don’t follow every rule, I think I’m a gentleman,” he says. “I don’t tell [a girl] how she has to be for me. I don’t want her to change herself for me.”

According to IMDb Tyler Hoechlin was one of the final two being considered for the role of “Edward Cullen” in the film “Twilight”, but lost out to Rob Pattinson.
I wonder how different the movie would have been if he had been picked to play Edward Cullen?. Personally I can’t see him in the part. My judgment maybe a little clouded though because I can only really see him as he was years ago in 7th Heaven.
Perhaps the teens wouldn’t have minded Tyler playing the dazzling Edward but in this 32 year old mum’s opinion he just doesn’t have enough of the broody, sultry ways that Rob Pattinson has perfected.
What do you think? Would you have prefered Tyler play Edward or are you happy with Rob dazzling us?

Part of USA Today article Move over, movie vampires: Werewolf pack is back talks a little about Chris Weitz’s thoughts on Taylor Lautner playing the role of Jacob Black:
“Director Chris Weitz (The Golden Compass) picks up where Twilight’s Catherine Hardwicke left off on the production that starts shooting March 23. One of his first tasks on the sequel was deciding to keep Lautner, whose gangly Native American high-schooler in the first film transforms into a hulking giant over the course of the book series as he fulfills his tribe’s destiny.
“Taylor is a formidable guy, kind of a great tool in the toolbox,” Weitz says of the nearly 17-year-old actor who has been working out daily and has packed on 29 pounds, most of it muscle. “In the first movie, we did not see or recognize how dangerous a character he could be.”
As for Taylor himself, “he can kill me with his left pinky. But he is too nice to do that. There is something compelling and sexy about him. He captures the spirit of Jacob.”

“Twilight” star Robert Pattinson, who starred alongside Radcliffe in “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.” “I don’t have his number, so haven’t spoken to him [about any advice]. But I can safely say that his insisting that girls would choose me over him, that they would not,” he said regarding Pattinson’s status as a teen idol. “That they do not. He is much prettier and can be much more charming. And he can do that thing of being sultry and sexy.”
He added, “Rob can just sort of stand there and look at something and start to smolder. And I just can’t do that.”

Twilight star Robert Pattinson can’t always play a vampire heartthrob.
In his next movie, Little Ashes, set in 1922 and described by Variety as an “arty Bohemian romp,” the London-born actor, 22, plays Spanish surrealist painter (1904-1989) Salvador Dalí as a young man – in love with the poet Federico GarcÍa Lorca, played by Javier Beltran.
The two meet at university, with Lorca attracted to what the movie’s production notes call Dalí’s “bizarre blend of shyness and rampant exhibitionism.” Hey, beats a bite in the neck.
Little Ashes opens in late March.

Showbiz Spy reports “Robert Pattinson has revealed his celebrity crush – 30 Rock star Tina Fey.
The actor – who plays Edward Cullen in the Twilight movie franchise – says he fell for “sexy” Fey while watching her on the smash hit NBC sitcom.
He tells Quebec’s Le Samedi magazine, “Like everyone else, I’m attracted to girls who have a head on their shoulders.
“The other day I was watching 30 Rock and I was charmed by the quirky Tina Fey. Rarely have I seen a woman so sexy.
“I’m not immune to the sex appeal of the three Jessicas [Simpson, Alba and Biel]. And I’m really fascinated by the grace and beauty of Natalie Portman.
“Age matters little to me – I don’t have a specific type.”
The actor also revealed his fall back plan if his acting career goes south. “I always say that if acting is my first love, music would’ve been my Plan B for becoming famous,” Pattinson says. “That may sound a bit pretentious, but it’s true. Music occupies a very important place in my life. I couldn’t live without music.”
