Shelly Morrison MTV’s official Movie Awards Insider for the 2009 MTV Movie Awards got to see the Official New Moon Trailer.

She said…..

“I got to watch the “New Moon” trailer that will be airing on Sunday during the big show (airing live at 9 p.m. ET). Amazing! I loved it! It looks like director Chris Weitz has tried to incorporate as many elements from the book as possible, and — no worries — the vamps all look great. I was completely speechless at first. Maybe it was just that good. Maybe it was the “top secret” feel of the whole thing. Maybe I’m just a closet Twilighter like so many others. Who knows? What ever the case may be, you will have to tune in Sunday to see it for yourself.”

“After viewing the trailer, I had the opportunity to speak with MTV News’ resident “Twilight” expert, Larry Carroll (whose blogs I just so happen to love reading), about what he thought of the trailer. We both agree that the new look is great and that there are a lot of elements that Twilighters will be excited about. It was cool talking with Larry — I mean, the man is responsible for providing Twilighters everywhere with all things “Twilight.”

MTV’s Tim Kash interviewed Catherine Hardwicke he said…….

Hi, Twilighters! Today, I had the great pleasure of spending the day at the home of “Twilight” director Catherine Hardwicke. She has a beautiful place a stone’s throw away from the world-famous Venice Beach, and we paid her a visit to talk about her film’s seven nominations at the MTV Movie Awards and relive the first time Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson met.

It was a great day of filming, and believe me: “Twilight” fans are not going to want to miss any of this!

We talked about the first “chemistry screen test” between Kristen and Rob. Kristen had to act out a scene with five different potential Edwards, one after another, with Catherine deciding that Robert was “the one” the first time the two kissed — which, as all Twilighters know, happened in Catherine’s bedroom.

That all led up to the scene that is now a favourite to win Best Kiss at this Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards. Apparently, both actors were nervous — so nervous that Rob actually fell off the bed during the audition. But then, once he was in the rhythm of things, Catherine actually had to remind Robert that the film was PG-13 as he was getting a little too … well, you can use your imagination.

E! Online have all the info on where Rob and Kristen, and some of the other cast members, will be sitting at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday.

Pattz and Stewart are, of course, sittin’ next to each other in the front row. Expect them to get plenty of camera time during the whole shebang, which will be telecast live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City…

Last week, we dropped a bombshell of OME proportions when we announced that the cast of “New Moon” will be presenting exclusive footage from their upcoming “Twilight” sequel during the MTV Movie Awards. Now we can reveal that the never-before-seen video that Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will be introducing on Sunday’s live show is the movie’s first trailer.

The stars will present the premiere of the “New Moon” trailer on the Movie Awards, airing at 9:00 pm ET on Sunday. Then at 10:45 p.m., the high-definition video will debut online. To make sure you don’t miss the premiere, snag our Movie Awards countdown clock below — when the trailer makes its online debut, it will shapeshift into a video player!

This year, “Twilight” leads all other films at the Movie Awards with seven nominations, including nods for Breakthrough Performance Male nods for Pattinson and Lautner, and Best Performance Female for Stewart. Cam Gigandet, who plays evil vampire James in the movie, has been campaigning heavily (with the help of FunnyOrDie.com) to win Best Fight for his battle with Pattinson. Voting in the Best Movie category, for which “Twilight” is also nominated, will stay open until the end of the live telecast.

Joining the “Twilight” trio will be an all-star group of Hollywood presenters, including Denzel Washington, Will Ferrell, Lil Wayne, Cameron Diaz, Sandra Bullock, Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Abigail Breslin, Shia LaBeouf, Leighton Meester, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride, Sienna Miller and Channing Tatum.

In addition to this cavalcade of celebrity presenters, the Movie Awards will feature musical performances by Eminem, who will perform music from his new album, Relapse, and Kings of Leon, who will perform their hit “Use Somebody.”
