Showbiz Spy reports that Dakota Fanning has confirmed rumors that she is in talks to star in Twilight sequel New Moon.
Recent reports suggested the actress, 14, was being lined up to play Volturi vampire Jane.
And Fanning – whose breakthrough performance was in the 2001 film I Am Sam – has said she is hoping to land the role.
She tells ET, “I really hope that works out. It would be interesting, really fun to be a part of. I’m a huge fan of all those actors. So, it’s too soon to tell right now, but I really hope that it does happen.
“It would be so cool to play a vampire.”

Robert Pattinson is the hottest vampire in town and that has Kristen Stewart’s boyfriend, Michael Angarano, sweating under the collar.
Stewart and Angarano have been dating for two years, but the mega success of the film Twilight, featuring hot scenes between Pattinson as Edward Cullen and Stewart as Bella Swan, has Angarano feeling insecure about their relationship.
An insider told Star magazine, “He follows her around everywhere and wants to know where she is 24-7! He is totally obsessed with with her and it’s not healthy.”

Beautifully illustrated with 75 photographs in full colour, The Robert Pattinson Album by Paul Stenning is a breathtaking visual biography of one of the world’s most talked-about young actors. The hugely successful vampire romance Twilight was a box-office phenomenon, and Robert is that smash-hit film’s breakout star.

Add America Ferrera to the long list of actresses who are supposedly up for a role in the Twilight sequel New Moon.
Celebuzz reports: Following in the footsteps of Vanessa Hudgens and Dakota Fanning, the 24-year-old Ugly Betty actress has reportedly auditioned for the movie. Ferrera tried out for the part of Emily Young, fiancée to Sam Uley and second cousin to Leah Clearwater.
“I got to audition for New Moon today! For the role of Emily,” Crazy Days and Nights quotes the outspoken actress and snappy dresser as saying. “The casting director, you fans of the book will be glad to know, has read the books and loves them. And you can tell. His direction was spot on for the character. I loved the books. I would so love to be in the movie!!!”
Seems like a perfectly reasonable match. After all, Ferrera has had experience interacting with monstrous characters before.

With Dakota Fanning tapped for the role of Volturi vampire Jane in Twilight sequel New Moon, the casting of Alec, Jane’s undead twin brother, is director Chris Weitz’s next challenge.
Compared to Jane, “his hair was darker, and his lips were not as full, but he was just as lovely,” writes author Stephenie Meyer of Alec in New Moon.

Twilight sensation Robert Pattinson is now a bona fide Hollywood superstar and sex symbol, thanks to the vampire romance’s stunning worldwide popularity. Rob’s boyish good looks coupled with his self-effacing personality is a winning combination that has won him legions of young fans.
But Rob, 22, is convinced that girls like bad boys over nice guys (not true, by the way). “I found that women prefer men with small flaws—bad boys,” he says. “They don’t always open the door for you, but they promise adventure. A guy like James Dean would always win out against a gentleman.”
